Office 365 plans for Personal, Home, and University

Office 365 plans for Business, Education, and Government

Office 2019 suites
Office 2019 suites for home are a one-time purchase that includes applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for use on a single PC or Mac. Office 2019 suites for business are a one-time purchase that may be acquired for more than five computers through volume licensing. Office as a one-time purchase does not include any of the services included in Office 365 (e.g. Exchange Online, SharePoint Online).
Office 365 is designed to work with the latest browsers and versions of Office. If you use older browsers and versions of Office that are not in mainstream support:
- Microsoft won’t deliberately prevent you from connecting to the service, but the quality of your Office 365 experience may diminish over time.
- Office 2019 connections to Office 365 services will be supported until October 2023.
- Microsoft won’t provide code fixes to resolve non-security related problems.
Office 2019 is supported under the Fixed Lifecycle Policy.
Office Home & Student, Office Home & Business, and Office Professional 2019

Mobile apps
Several Office apps have versions available for Windows Mobile, iOS, and Android devices2. For more information about the apps, see Microsoft Office 365 for Mobile. The Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive mobile apps offer premium features to Office 365 subscribers. Browsers
Safari, Chrome, and Firefox: Office 365 and Office 2019 are designed to work with the current version of the Safari, Chrome, and Firefox browsers.
Microsoft Edge: Office 365 and Office 2019 are designed to work with the latest version of the Microsoft Edge browser. Microsoft Edge browser updates are available through the Windows Servicing branches. Office might continue to work with versions of the Edge browser older than the latest branch, but Office can’t provide any guarantees.
Office 2016 suites and standalone applications
