Visio Licensing

Microsoft Visio Online Plan 2, available as a subscription, includes the same capabilities as Visio Professional 2016. In addition, such cloud-only features as Data Visualizer, Database Reverse Engineering, Improved Support for the AutoCAD drawings have been recently introduced. Plan 2 also allows each user to install Visio on up to five PCs running Windows 10, Windows 8 or Windows 7. It automatically installs the latest updates (both feature and security) for the duration of the subscription. Visio Online Plan 1 with 2 GB OneDrive storage is also included.

Microsoft Visio Online Plan 1 is a web-app and includes 2GB OneDrive storage. It does not have any installations.

Microsoft Visio Online viewing will be included with Office 365. It does not include create/edit rights.

Microsoft Visio Professional 2016 makes it easier than ever for individuals and teams to create and share professional, versatile diagrams that simplify complex information. It includes all of the functionality of Visio Standard 2016 as well as updated shapes, templates, and styles; enhanced support for team collaboration, including the ability for several people to work on a single diagram at the same time; and the ability to link diagrams to data instantly. Visio Professional 2016 also helps prevent information leakage by enabling Information Rights Management.

Microsoft Visio Standard 2016 is designed for people looking for a powerful diagramming platform with a rich set of built-in stencils.

If you are purchasing fewer than five licenses: Visio Online Plan 2 may be purchased directly through Office365.com. Visio Professional 2016 and Visio Standard 2016 may be purchased through resellers and retailers, such as the Microsoft Store.

General terms and conditions: Your use of Visio is governed by your license with Microsoft. For licenses of Visio purchased through retailers, you must agree with the End User License Agreement. For licenses acquired through Volume Licensing, the terms and conditions for how you can use the software are defined in the Product Use Rights (PUR) and the Product List documents.
